普羅泰戈拉智者派的主要代表人物

普羅泰戈拉（Protagoras，約公元前490或480年—前420或410年）公元前5世紀希臘城邦民主政治高度發(fā)展，普羅泰戈拉是智者派的主要代表人物。他主張“人是萬物的尺度”。普羅泰戈拉約生于公元前490—前480年之間，大約活了70歲。他出生在阿布德拉城，多次來到當時希臘奴隸主民主制的中心雅典，與民主派政治家伯里克利結為摯友，曾為意大利南部的雅典殖民地圖里城制定過法典。一生旅居各地，收徒傳授修辭和論辯知識，是當時最受人尊敬的“智者”。
